Fail to deploy patches via SCCM WUAHandler Error msg 0x800703ee

 

Log to be check at below :-

Log Name	Location of log files
Windowsupdate.log	C:\windows\Windowsupdate.log
Updateshandler.log	C:\Windows\CCM\Logs
Updatestore.log	C:\Windows\CCM\Logs
WUAHandler.log	C:\Windows\CCM\Logs
DataTanferservice.log	C:\Windows\CCM\Logs

Open the WUAHandler.log and Found threre is an error msg

Failed to Add Update Source for WUAgent of type (2) and id ({BD2D9DB0-CB40-4FE3-93BD-645934DA2D5D}). Error = 0x800703ee.

Action Taken:-

1) Go to Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol and rename it to Registry.polold

This is due to Registry.pol files is corrupted and 0 KB.Show at below pictures.

2) Restart the SMS Agent Host Services.

3) Go to Control panel – Configuration Manager – Actions – Software Updates Scan Cycle and click on Run Now.

Check again back the WUAHandler.log and no more error msg .
